MGV84/C6 ideal replacement seat for MF590

Father and son team, Paul and Steve Durkin from Independent Agri Parts Ltd have been busy with another classic tractor restoration for one of their customers. The Massey Ferguson 590 tractor has been brought back to its original glory with new body work, paint job and all new interior restoration including a new seat, the MGV84/C6.

The MF590 tractor was originally produced in the late 70’s and 80’s. It was a popular medium sized tractor at the time and has gained cult status along with a lot of the other Massey Ferguson tractors from the same era. A lot of them were originally fitted with a KAB XH2/P3 narrow suspension pan seat combination so the MGV84/C6 with the same narrow footprint and 120 mm mounting centres is an ideal replacement. The tractor has many lever controls on the drivers right hand side so it is essential that a like for like replacement is fitted to ensure enough space for these to be operated.

Independent Agri Parts displayed the MGV84/C6 on the stand so it was great to have a installation example on hand to discuss with potential buyers, with some testing the seat in situ and commenting on its comfort but also the look at the seat being in keeping with the Massey Ferguson aesthetic.

With classic Massey Fergusons being very popular with farmers and classic tractor enthusiasts, the MF590 received a lot of attention on the stand with Steve and Paul getting a lot of great feedback and congratulations on their work.
