Hitachi Construction Machinery Ltd is a segment of Hitachi Ltd, one of the largest manufacturers of excavators, dump trucks and other earth moving machinery in the world.

For the new mini excavator models ZX 14 & 16, Hitachi were looking for a low profile suspension seat that needed to have similar fittings compared to the standard seat supplied from Japan, but comply with the stricter European approvals. UnitedSeats competed successfully with several other European seat manufacturers and after a period of testing the MGV25/C5 seat will now be fitted to the new excavator series.
