The French Sea Rescue Society (SNSM) take delivery of a new boat fitted with MGV35 seats

The Pors-Moro ship yard in Loctudy, Britanny has been working with our colleagues Malik Lakhal and Karim M’Harthi on the seat arrangement in their brand new ‘First class’ inshore rescue boat. The SNS 12-02 Notre Dame was recently delivered to the Arcachon SNSM life boat station in the Gironde near Bordeaux.

This is a new departure for the Pors-Moro boat yard who normally refurbish older boats. The rescue boat is fitted with 3 x MGV35 seats for crew members and an ISRI 1000/517 for the Coxwain. The MGV35 seats are fully foldable and fitted with wooden back boards that turn into a table top when the boat seats (in a line) are folded forward.

The crew in Arcachon were very pleased with their new inshore rescue boat and the naval magazine Mer et Marine fully recorded the new boat story.

Of course, UnitedSeats are proud to be part of the project. A Series of new boats is now scheduled for other SNSM stations.
